A Story Rooted in Community

Sarah Williams was born and raised in Springfield, the daughter of a teacher and a factory worker. Growing up, she witnessed firsthand the challenges facing working families — from inadequate healthcare to limited economic opportunities.

After losing her father to preventable illness due to lack of insurance, Sarah dedicated her life to public service. She put herself through college working multiple jobs, determined to create change for families like hers.

For over 30 years, Sarah has fought for working families in our community. As a policy expert, community organizer, and business leader, she's delivered real results — creating jobs, improving education, and expanding healthcare access.

Sarah lives in Springfield with her husband Michael, a high school teacher, and their two children. She serves on the boards of three local nonprofits and coaches youth basketball on weekends.
